Unofficial guide — not the official app

This page explains how the download and install steps are described on this site, what to check first, and where to find the route for your device. No download file, version number or date is stated here, because none is stated on this site.

What this Download page covers

This page is a guide to downloading and installing, not a download store. It describes, in general terms, the steps a reader would follow on an Android device, the checks to make before starting, and the separate routes that are described for a computer and for Apple devices. It does not offer a file to download, and it does not name a file, a mirror or a store listing, because no such link is stated here.

Read the whole page before you start. The order matters: the checks in the second section come before the install steps, and the troubleshooting notes at the end are written to be used in order, one at a time. If a step does not match what you see on your own device, stop, note the exact wording on your screen, and use the troubleshooting section rather than guessing at a different step.

How to download and install

The steps below are written in general terms, for an Android device, because that is the route described most fully on this site. They do not name a download source, a version or a file size. Where a step depends on your device, the step says so, and the device pages explain the difference in more detail.

Step 1

Check your device first

Check that you know which device you are using, how much free space it has, and whether it is connected to a stable network. Do not start an install on a device that is low on battery or low on space, and do not start if you are unsure which device page applies to you.

Step 2

Follow the route for your device

Use the Android route on the Android page, the emulator-only route on the PC page, and the honest iOS note on the iOS page. Do not mix the routes: a step written for one kind of device will not fit another kind of device, and a file meant for one kind of device should not be used on another.

Step 3

Allow the install only if your device asks

If your device asks whether an install from outside its usual store may proceed, read the exact message on the screen before you answer it. Only proceed if you understand the message, you know the source you chose, and you are willing to accept the risk described on the Disclaimer page.

Step 4

Open, check and stop if it does not fit

Open the app, check that the home screen and the channel list load, and try one stream. If the app does not open, if a stream does not load, or if anything asks for information you did not expect, stop and use the troubleshooting notes below instead of repeating the same step.

Before you install

Use this checklist before any install step. Each item is a check, not a promise: if an item cannot be checked, do not treat the install as safe, and do not treat it as ready.

  • Device type confirmed, and the matching device page read.
  • Free space and battery checked, and the network connection is stable.
  • No version, size, date or rating assumed, because none is stated here.
  • Disclaimer and Terms of Use read, and the unofficial nature of this guide understood.
  • A way back planned, such as knowing how to remove an app from your device.

Which device page should you use?

For Android, use the Sportzfy for Android page. It covers the Android route in the most detail, and it links back to the troubleshooting notes that apply when an Android install does not complete. For a computer, use the Sportzfy for PC page, which presents the emulator-only route honestly and does not claim that a PC version of the app exists. For Apple devices, use the Sportzfy for iOS page, which states honestly that there is no official iOS app stated here, and which does not offer an installation file for iOS.

For a television, the platform notes on the home page describe the large-screen route in general terms. Do not assume that a television route is the same as a phone route, and do not use a phone step on a television without reading the television notes first. If your television route is not described on this site, treat that as a gap in this guide, not as a reason to guess.

If a download or install does not work

Work through the cards below in order. Change one thing at a time, and check again after each change. If a card does not match your problem, move to the next card rather than repeating a step that has already failed.

The install will not start

Check the device type, the free space and the network connection first. If the device still will not start the install, stop and read the device page for that device again, rather than trying a different file.

The device blocks the install

Read the exact message on the screen. Do not change a security setting unless you understand the message and you accept the risk. If you are unsure, do not proceed.

The app opens but no stream loads

Check your connection, close and reopen the app once, and try a different stream only if the guide text offers one. If no stream loads, treat that as a failed check, not as a reason to install again.

The picture freezes or buffers

Check the network, lower the load on the connection if you can, and restart the stream once. Repeated freezing on a stable connection is a sign to stop and check the troubleshooting notes on the home page.

The app closes on its own

Free up space, close other apps, and restart the device once. If the app still closes, do not keep reopening it in a loop; note when it closes and use that detail when you read the troubleshooting notes.

You are asked for unexpected information

Stop. Do not enter personal, account or payment information that you did not expect to be asked for. Close the app, and do not continue until you have read the safety notes below.

Tip: write down the exact message you see, and the step you were on, before you try a fix. A precise note makes the troubleshooting section much easier to use.

Safety, legality and honest limits

This site is an unofficial guide. It is not the official app, it is not connected to the app, and it does not own, host or control any stream, channel or fixture. The guide does not claim that a stream is licensed, that a channel is available in your country, or that using an app is lawful where you live. Those questions depend on the law where you live and on the rights for the content you want to watch, and this guide cannot answer them for you.

The honest limits on this page are deliberate. No version number, file size, update date, developer name, rating, download count or download link is stated, because none is stated here. If you see those facts claimed elsewhere, treat them as claims from that other source, not as facts from this site, and check them before you rely on them. The Disclaimer and the Terms of Use set out the limits of this guide in full.

Is there a download file on this page?

No. This page is a guide only. No APK file, download link, version number, file size or update date is stated here, and every download button on this site uses ‘#’.

Which version is described here?

The latest version, in those words only. No version number is stated here, and no date is given for an update, because none is stated on this site.

Does this guide work on iPhone?

There is no official iOS app stated here, and no iOS installation file is offered. The iOS page explains that position honestly and in general terms.

What should I do if my device blocks the install?

Read the exact message, do not change a security setting you do not understand, and use the troubleshooting cards above in order. If you are unsure, do not proceed.

Is this site the official app?

No. This site is an unofficial guide. It is not the official app and it is not connected to the app, to any channel, or to any league or broadcaster.
